How much does UI/UX design cost in Dhaka? A guide in BDT and USD
Real 2026 numbers for a UI/UX designer, freelancer or agency in Dhaka, in taka and dollars, with sources and what makes one quote ten times another.
UI/UX design in Dhaka is some of the most affordable in the world, and the range is wide. An employed UI/UX designer in Dhaka typically earns around BDT 26,000 to 51,000 a month, freelancers based in Bangladesh usually charge about USD 10 to 30 an hour, and the most common agency rate among Dhaka studios on Clutch is USD 25 to 49 an hour (about BDT 3,100 to 6,000). Senior people, international standards and a well-defined scope push the price up; so does anything you have to redo later.

Hiring in-house: what designers earn in Dhaka
The best single source is Glassdoor, which showed 150 UI/UX designer salaries in Dhaka in October 2026: a median total pay of about BDT 33,000 a month, with the middle half of salaries between about BDT 26,000 and 51,000, and the top tenth from about BDT 83,000.
Job ads tell a similar story. In September 2026, a junior UI/UX role in Uttara advertised BDT 25,000 to 35,000 a month for up to two years of experience, and a role titled senior, for three to five years, advertised BDT 35,000 to 45,000. Titles in Bangladesh do not always match international seniority, so read the experience required, not just the word "senior".
Senior pay is where the evidence runs out. The few published data points, mostly from people working for international companies, sit well above the local median, around BDT 100,000 to 130,000 a month. That is consistent with what you would expect, but the sample is too small to quote with confidence.

Remember that salary is only part of the cost of a hire: recruiting time, equipment, management and the months before a new designer is fully productive.
Freelancers
Bangladesh has a very large freelance workforce, and design is a big part of it. Profiles that freelance platforms highlight for UI and UX designers in Bangladesh and Dhaka in October 2026 charged between USD 3 and 30 an hour, with most between USD 10 and 30. Older research on Bangladeshi freelancers across all fields put the average below USD 10 an hour, which shows how wide the market is.
A strong freelancer can be excellent value for a defined piece of work. The usual risks are capacity, availability and what happens if they take on a bigger client halfway through your project.
Agencies in Dhaka
Clutch listed 256 UI/UX firms in the Dhaka area on 1 October 2026. Of the 210 that publish an hourly rate:

Minimum project sizes on the same list are low: 134 firms start at USD 1,000, 45 at USD 5,000 and only 16 above USD 10,000. Some studios also publish prices. One Dhaka studio, for example, lists website design from USD 1,800 for up to four pages and mobile app design from USD 2,800, with monthly design retainers working out at around USD 24 to 28 an hour.
What makes one quote ten times another
- Seniority. Who designs your screens day to day. Ask to see their own work.
- Scope. A logo-and-landing-page job and a full product with research, a design system and every state are different projects.
- Standards. Products for clients in the UK, US or Europe usually need more research, more documentation and accessibility work.
- Language. A product that has to work properly in Bangla and English needs its own typography work. Our guide to Bangla interface typography explains what is involved.
- Payments and trust. Flows built around bKash, Nagad and cards need careful design to feel safe.
- Handoff. A documented design system saves your developers weeks; a folder of screens does not.

- List the flows you need: onboarding, the core task, payments, settings, admin.
- Say whether Bangla, English or both are needed.
- Ask who will design, and look at their own portfolio, not only the company's.
- Ask what is included: research, prototypes, a design system, handoff and revisions.
- Prefer a fixed price for a defined scope over an open hourly estimate.
- Start with a small paid piece of work before signing a big contract.
