Abu Dhabi iOS and Android apps, designed and coded by one person end to end

I'm Maniruzzaman Jubayer, a design engineer offering mobile app development in Abu Dhabi from Dhaka. Instead of passing your idea to an app development company, you work with the one person who draws every Arabic and English screen, writes the React Native or Flutter code and submits the build to both stores, inside 8 hours of your working day.

Mobile app development in Abu Dhabi: four problems I fix most often

The emirate of Abu Dhabi counted 4,135,985 residents at the end of 2024, 7.5 percent more than a year before, by the Statistics Centre Abu Dhabi's figures. Many of them renew, pay and apply through TAMM, which now gathers more than 1,200 services in one app. That is the yardstick for your app, and these four problems decide whether it measures up.

In Abu Dhabi, the Malaffi health portal and ADREC's online property sales both work with UAE PASS. An app that asks people to invent a password and upload an Emirates ID photo feels a step behind them. I design sign-in around the UAE PASS hand-off, the return and every failure state.

Property, fintech and health app work for Abu Dhabi teams

A property investment app, a mobile wallet for sending and tracking money, an AI personal finance dashboard and screens for a mental wellbeing platform, all designed by me. In Abu Dhabi, finance apps can sit under ADGM or the Central Bank and health apps under the Department of Health, so these projects are the closest match.

Yalla, let's build

What I design and build for an Abu Dhabi app

All six go into the written scope on day one, so sign-in, payments, Arabic and store review never arrive later as surprises.

  • 01

A bilingual screen library, mirrored on purpose

Every screen drawn right to left and left to right side by side. Navigation, progress bars and swipe actions flip; phone numbers, card digits, maps and video controls stay as they are. Arabic type is set for small Android screens and checked against long family names.

  • 02

    UAE PASS sign-in and signing

Account creation, log-in and document signing built on UAE PASS, with screens for the jump to its app, the way back, an expired session and a user who backs out. I build to the UAE PASS mobile requirements, and the design keeps every step easy to read.

  • 03

    Payments in dirhams, Aani included

Card and wallet checkout, Aani transfers by mobile number, email or QR code, and receipts that show the new dirham sign, U+20C3, on phones that support it and AED on those that do not. A failed payment always gets a plain reason and a next step.

  • 04

Consent written for the right law

PDPL screens for most companies, or screens for the ADGM Data Protection Regulations 2021 if you are registered in ADGM: permission prompts in context, separate consent, access and deletion requests, and Apple and Google privacy labels that match. Your adviser signs off the final wording.

  • 05

The app itself, in React Native or Flutter

I write the iOS and Android app myself, choosing React Native or Flutter to suit your product and the people who will maintain it, plus any admin panel in React and Next.js. If your own native developers take it over, they receive a coded design system and annotated specs.

  • 06

Both store listings and the launch

Arabic and English listings for the App Store and Google Play, screenshots of real use, a reviewer login, and the in-app and web account deletion paths Google asks for, all submitted from your own developer accounts, with me fixing anything review raises.

From the first call to both stores, on Gulf time

Four stages, each scheduled in Gulf Standard Time and worked back from the launch date you choose.

  1. 01

    Free 30 minute intro call

A Google Meet in your working hours. Open the app, prototype or idea on your phone, tell me who it is for and when it has to launch, and I tell you honestly whether you need design only or design and build.

  2. 02

Written scope and one fixed quote

Platforms, screens, languages, UAE PASS, payments, the stack and store submission written down and priced as one fixed quote for the whole project. No hourly billing and no retainer.

  3. 03

Design first, then build in sprints

Flows and screens in Figma in both languages, tried on real phones with Arabic and English speakers, then built in two week sprints, each one ending with a new test build on your phone.

  4. 04

Review, release and the weeks after

Listings, privacy labels and reviewer notes ready in both languages, the build submitted from your Apple and Google accounts, then me watching crash reports and store reviews through the first weeks.

Working together from Abu Dhabi: the practical side

Time difference
Abu Dhabi keeps Gulf Standard Time, two hours behind Dhaka, so 8 hours of your working day is shared
Working week
UAE government offices work Monday to Thursday plus a Friday morning; my weekend is Friday and Saturday, so four full days line up every week
Languages
calls in English; screens, notifications and store listings in Arabic and English, with a native Arabic reader on your side signing off
Devices
each build tried on mid-range Android phones and current iPhones, right to left and left to right, before it goes to review
Tools
Google Meet, Slack and Figma, plus TestFlight and Google Play internal test builds installed on your own phone

How I work with Abu Dhabi app teams

Fully remote, with most of your working day shared and a build you can install after every sprint.

Your day My day Shared

  • 01

You talk to the person doing the work

No sales lead, no project manager and no handover to a separate build team. The person on your weekly review call drew the screens and wrote the code, so your questions get answered there and then.

  • 02

Two hours ahead, four full days shared

Dhaka is two hours ahead of Abu Dhabi, which gives 8 hours of your day in common and Monday to Thursday in full. If launch falls on a Friday or a weekend, I name the cover in the scope.

  • 03

A real build in your hand

Figma is open to you from the start, a written update lands in Slack every two days and one review call runs each week. Every sprint ends with a TestFlight or Google Play test build you install yourself.

  • 04

Abu Dhabi rules in the plan

UAE PASS, Aani and the new dirham sign, the PDPL or ADGM data rules, Malaffi and the Department of Health for clinics, and Apple's licensed entity rule for regulated apps. My website design for Abu Dhabi follows the same rules on the web.

App design and development for Abu Dhabi's growing sectors

Six sectors the emirate is investing in, shown through screens I designed for real apps, with a line on what people in each one need from a phone.

  • Fintech and payments: a screen from a product I designed

    Fintech and payments

ADGM's RegLab gives fintech firms a tailored regime for testing under FSRA supervision, and Aani had 12.5 million users by August 2026. Wallet and payment apps here need transfer, limit and failure screens that read just as clearly in Arabic as in English.

    My fintech work →
  • Property and proptech: a screen from a product I designed

    Property and proptech

Since October 2025, ADREC's Digital Buy and Sell Journey has let buyers and sellers close a property deal online, signing with UAE PASS through TAMM. Private property apps now stand next to that, so listings, viewings and offers need the same directness.

    My real estate work →
  • Retail and delivery: a screen from a product I designed

    Retail and delivery

Abu Dhabi shoppers pay with wallets and cards and send money to each other through Aani. Shopping and delivery apps need quick reorders, live order tracking and prices that still display cleanly while the new dirham sign reaches phone fonts.

  • Healthcare: a screen from a product I designed

    Healthcare

Malaffi links Abu Dhabi's hospitals and clinics, with 3.5 billion clinical records across 12.7 million patient profiles by August 2025. Booking and patient apps need consent, record views and hosting planned around Department of Health oversight from the first sprint.

    My healthcare work →
  • Ports and logistics: a screen from a product I designed

    Ports and logistics

AD Ports Group handled 7.7 million TEUs of containers in 2025, up 23 percent. Driver, yard and warehouse apps need large touch targets, statuses readable in hard sunlight, and work that saves offline when the signal drops.

    My logistics work →
  • Agritech and food: a screen from a product I designed

    Agritech and food

The Abu Dhabi Investment Office committed AED 367 million in 2020 to four agtech firms building in the emirate, including an LED-lit indoor tomato farm at KIZAD. Farm and supply apps need clear stock and harvest data and simple ordering for buyers.

Who I help in Abu Dhabi, from first launches to resident services

Four kinds of team that gain most from one person who designs and builds the app alongside them.

That sounds like you?

Founders building a first app

Hub71 and free zone teams with a prototype, a pitch deck or a no-code test, who need a proper first iOS and Android release designed and built before the next funding round.

Mobile app development in Abu Dhabi: questions answered

Plain answers to what Abu Dhabi founders and product leads ask before an app project begins.

Still have a question?

Ask me on a free 30 minute call, in Abu Dhabi time.

Ask me on a free call
  • No. I'm one design engineer working remotely from Dhaka, not a company registered in the UAE, and I have no Abu Dhabi office. What you get instead of an app development company is the one person who designs, codes and releases your app, so every decision and every fix sits with me, with no account manager or subcontractor in between.
  • From the scope: the screens and user roles, iOS, Android or both, the languages, UAE PASS, payments, any admin panel and store submission. After a free 30 minute call I send a written scope and one fixed quote for the whole project, with nothing billed by the hour and no retainer. My mobile app design page explains what a typical scope covers.
  • Yes, from one codebase. I build in React Native or Flutter, so the iOS and Android apps share most of their code and launch together. I test on mid-range Android handsets as well as recent iPhones, since cheaper phones are where Arabic text and weak signal expose problems first. My Flutter vs React Native guide for Arabic apps shows how I choose.
  • Yes. UAE PASS is the national digital identity, with more than 12 million registered users by July 2026, and Abu Dhabi services such as the Malaffi health portal and ADREC's online property sales already rely on it. I design the jump to the UAE PASS app and back, and build to its developer documentation. My UAE PASS sign-in guide walks through the screens.
  • That depends on where your company is registered. Federal Decree-Law 45 of 2021 covers most UAE businesses, while firms in ADGM follow the ADGM Data Protection Regulations 2021, which let people access, correct, erase, restrict and move their data and object to its use. The screens look similar either way, and your lawyer confirms which law applies. My PDPL consent guide covers the design.
  • I can design and build the patient side, with consent and record screens planned for it. Malaffi, run by M42's Abu Dhabi Health Data Services for the Department of Health, held 3.5 billion clinical records by August 2025. Any link to it goes through your licensed facility and the regulator, and federal law keeps most health data inside the UAE, so I plan for their approval rather than promise it. See my CareUp case study.
  • Nobody can guarantee it, but most rejections are predictable. Apple wants banking, finance and health apps submitted by the licensed entity, so your company's developer account should be set up early. Google Play asks for account deletion both inside the app and through a web link. I prepare those, a reviewer login and honest permission text before the first submission, as set out in my app store rejection checklist.
  • Both languages are designed side by side and switch inside the real build, not in mock-ups added later. In React Native the layout direction changes only on the next app start, and in Flutter it follows the locales the app lists, so I design the language switch around that behaviour. My Arabic RTL design guide goes into the details.
  • Yes, they are a good fit. Hub71's community passed 390 startups by the end of 2025, and ADGM's RegLab lets fintech firms test products under FSRA supervision. Early teams often need a first release that satisfies investors, the regulator and app review at once, which is easier when one person designs and builds it. My ZenPay case study shows a wallet app I designed.
